Hikaru Kondo<\/h2>\n

Dem Gr\u00fcnder des Studios, das den Anime „Demon Slayer<\/a>“ produziert, k\u00f6nnte eine Gef\u00e4ngnisstrafe drohen. Die Staatsanwaltschaft in Tokio beantragt eine 20-monatige Haftstrafe f\u00fcr Hikaru Kondo. Er gilt als Gr\u00fcnder, stellvertretender Direktor und Pr\u00e4sidenten von Ufotable. Grund soll Steuerhinterziehung sein.<\/p>\n

Steuerhinterziehung<\/h2>\n

Wie die Staatsanwaltschaft in dieser Woche mitteilte, hat Hikaru das Unternehmen dazu veranlasst „bei hohen Gewinnen wiederholt Buchhaltungsbetrug zu begehen“ und zun\u00e4chst „die Verantwortung des Unternehmens, in gutem Glauben Steuern zu zahlen, geleugnet“. Ein endg\u00fcltiges Urteil des Gerichts in diesem Fall wird am 10. Dezember gef\u00e4llt. Kondo hat bereits zugegeben, gegen mehrere wichtige Steuergesetze versto\u00dfen zu haben.<\/p>\n

Bei einer vorl\u00e4ufigen Anh\u00f6rung im September gab Hikaru Kondo vor einem Bezirksgericht in Tokio zu, dass er sowohl gegen das K\u00f6rperschaftssteuergesetz als auch gegen das Verbrauchssteuergesetz versto\u00dfen und den Gegenwert von etwa 1,25 Millionen US-Dollar (oder 138 Millionen japanische Yen) nicht gezahlt hat.<\/p>\n

Kondo erkl\u00e4rte, er glaube nicht, dass seine finanziellen Vergehen dem Studio \u00c4rger bringen w\u00fcrden. Die Staatsanwaltschaft behauptet jedoch, dass Ufotable und Hikaru Kondo daf\u00fcr verantwortlich sind, die Einnahmen des Unternehmens (insgesamt ca. 4 Mio. USD oder 441 Mio. Yen) zwischen 2015 und 2018 zu verheimlichen, um m\u00f6gliche zuk\u00fcnftige Verluste f\u00fcr das Unternehmen abzufedern.<\/p>\n

Schwere Vorw\u00fcrfe<\/h2>\n

Kondo soll bis zu drei\u00dfig Prozent der Einnahmen aus den Caf\u00e9s und Themenrestaurants des Anime-Studios Ufotable in einem Privatsafe versteckt haben. Ufotable wird jetzt verd\u00e4chtigt, Gelder aus Wohlt\u00e4tigkeitsauktionen f\u00fcr das Tohoku-Erdbeben 2011 veruntreut zu haben.<\/p>\n

Dies ist ein schweres Verbrechen, das mit einer Gef\u00e4ngnisstrafe von bis zu 10 Jahren geahndet werden kann. Die regionale Steuerbeh\u00f6rde von Tokio hat jedoch noch keine Anklage wegen dieses mutma\u00dflichen Verbrechens erhoben.<\/p>\n
